A Journey to L.A

Hello Everyone,

Today I’m going to be referring to a blog post that I read the past week and it was pretty interesting since, the person is talking about his experience getting into the film industry which was I’m aiming to do in the future if the opportunity comes. He compares us (newbies) that we are passionate about this industry and how bad we want something like with the “Terminator” movie, when Schwarzenegger is naked walking by the street of L.A.  I think is amazing comparison, since we are really naked without the clothing “desire for job” he says.

Is completely true, most of filmmakers students they travel to L.A and all is because that where Hollywood is and where our dream can become possible faster.  He talks about everything really starts with been a PA(Production Assistant) and how nobody wants to be in this business and be 40 and still a PA, which is funny because in every business is the same. The young people are the ones that are the minor position most of the time and you wouldn’t want to be 40 and still there.

I love this blog post so much that seriously, I needed to discuss it here, since is really helpful and I really think it sounds how making in it in the business will be. “So beware, all you newbies entering this bright and shiny labyrinth -- here there be dragons and hippogriffs, and things are not always as they seem...” he says at the end of his post, which for me is what I always thought about it and I know is not a easy business to make it. But as Rogene Manas, I’m determined like him to make it someday and I know never is too late and better to give up trying than not trying at all.

Thanks for reading,

Sangerald
